Where in the world is Wet'n'Wild Water World?
Wet'n'Wild Water World is located on the Gold Coast in the south east corner of the Australian state of Queensland.
The Gold Coast is a very popular holiday destination for Australians and overseas travellers alike.
Its attractions include some of the world's safest and most beautiful beaches, international standard accommodation, world class shopping and dining, and a picturesque hinterland. It is also Australia's theme park capital, home to Sea World, Sea World Resort & Water Park, Warner Bros. Movie World, Wet 'n' Wild Water World, Australian Outback Spectacular and Paradise Country.
The Gold Coast is accessible by road, rail and air. It has its own International and Domestic Airport, with Brisbane International and Domestic Airports approximately one hour drive to the north.
When is Wet'n'Wild Water World open?
Wet'n'Wild Water World is open every day of the year except Christmas Day on 25 December and ANZAC Day on 25 April. Wet'n'Wild is closed on these days.
The park opens at 10:00am every day and closing times vary throughout the year. For additional information see the Park Hours.

What is the weather like?
The Gold Coast has a delightful subtropical climate. The average daytime temperature during Spring and Summer (September to February) is 28 degrees Celsius. The average temperature in Winter (June to August) is a very mild 21 degrees Celsius.
The Gold Coast averages almost 300 days of sunshine per year!
Is it cold during Winter?
Between May and August, Wet'n'Wild Water World features heated pools and slides. The water is generally heated to a comfortable temperature and, combined with the Gold Coast's famously mild Winter weather, it's the perfect place to make a splash all year round.
Where can I buy my Wet'n'Wild Water World ticket?
All tickets can be purchased from Wet'n'Wild Water World's front gate. Or buy online now!
Tickets are also available through your motoring association in Australia, travel agent or your local Gold Coast hotel, apartment or tour desk. New Zealand residents can also purchase tickets from your licensed travel agent.
Who is eligible for a Pensioner discount?
To qualify for reduced admission entry as a Pensioner, one of the following criteria must be met.
- Holders of a valid Australian Government issued Pension Concession Card (PPC), including listed dependants will qualify for the pension rate. This does not include holders of Australian Health Care Cards. The Australian Pension Concession Card is issued to recipients of the following pension payments:
- Sole Parenting Pension
- Mature Aged Pension
- Disability Pension
- Holders of valid New Zealand Government issued Superannuation Card (SC). The card holder and listed dependants will qualify for the pension rate.
- Holders of a valid Australian Government issued Seniors Card.
- Holders of a valid New Zealand Seniors Card.
- Holders of a valid Australian Government issued Veteran Affairs Pension Card.
- Any person 65 years of age or older - proof of age is required.
- Disabled rates are available for purchase at the ticket booths only on the day of your visit upon the presentation of a State or Commonwealth authority's Disability Pension card. A carer accompanying a disabled guest for the sole purpose of assisting that guest will be admitted free of charge providing a current Carer's Card (or similar) issued only by relevant State or Commonwealth authorities is produced.
What do I do about looking after valuables while at the park?
Wet'n'Wild Water World has electronic security lockers available for hire.
A standard size locker is $9.00 for the day and can be accessed as many times as you like and a limited number of larger size lockers are available but are reserved for guests to store luggage. Cost is $12.00 for the day.
What is Splash Cash?
Splash Cash is the most convenient'n'clever way to carry your cash...without actually carrying your cash!
You simply credit a waterproof wristband with whatever amount you choose. You can slide'n'swim while wearing your wristband and then come time to buy lunch or a souvenir you just swipe your wristband to pay! The money is automatically deducted from the wristband just like your bank account.
That means you don't have to keep returning to your locker to grab some cash which means more time on the awesome attractions!
And at the end of the day you download the remaining cash back into your pocket. It's that easy!
Splash Cash is so innovative that it also recognises you when our Ride Photography takes your pic! You can swipe your wristband at the Photo Centre and it will bring up all of your photos from throughout the day. How cool is that!

How long is my Splash Cash valid for?
It’s valid for the whole day of your visit.
Things to remember - Splash Cash becomes void if you remove your wristband.
What do I need to bring?
Bring your swimwear and a towel. But don't forget your hat and sunscreen! If there is anything you do forget to pack, the Surf Shop stocks all the essentials - including some light reading!
Can I wear a t-shirt on the slides?
You are welcome to wear whatever swimwear you're comfortable in while using the slides and pools and Wet'n'Wild.
While riding the Twister some people find that not wearing a t-shirt allows you to slide at a greater speed. T-shirts do not affect speeds on other attractions.
Wet'n'Wild Water World supports safe fun in the sun, so no matter what swimwear you choose wear remember to wear a hat while out of the water and to reapply your sunscreen every two hours.
Do you have a Smoking Policy?
Queensland's anti-smoking laws prohibit smoking within four metres of any entrance to a building or in children's play areas.
We recommend the use of the designated smoking areas. Please check the Map for designated smoking areas.
How much does it cost to hire a Stroller or Wheelchair?
Stroller Hire and Wheelchair Hire is available from the Guest Services Office.
The hire charge for Strollers is $10.00 plus a refundable $10.00 deposit which you will receive back upon safe return of the Stroller.
Wheelchairs are available complimentary however we do require a $20.00 refundable deposit which you will receive back upon safe return of the Wheelchair.
A form of ID will be required. A limited number of Wheelchairs are available so we recommend you prebook with Guest Services. Hire fee is per day or part thereof. All charges are GST inclusive.
Can my children visit Wet'n'Wild Water World on their own?
We strongly recommend that all children under the age of 14 years be accompanied by an adult who shall be solely responsible for their care and conduct whilst on these premises.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
The pools and slides at Wet'n'Wild Water World are designed to be fun for people of all ages. But you do need to take note of height restrictions on some attractions as well as any signage. Also, follow the directions from the lifeguards - they advise all guests on how to enjoy all the attractions in safety. Children under the age of ten can have fun in the shallows of Buccaneer Bay. And remember, safety is your responsibility, so make sure children in your care are supervised at all times.
Are Dive'n'Movies included in the admission price?
They sure are! When Dive'n'Movies are screening, you are welcome to arrive at any time of the day and stay for the Dive'n'Movie which screens at dusk. Wet'n'Wild Water World's attractions also continue to operate until the end of the movie.
Can we bring a picnic into the park?
You are allowed to bring a picnic lunch into Wet'n'Wild Water World however, no commercially prepared food or alcohol can be brought into the park. Due to safety regulations, glassware of any kind is also prohibited. Coin operated Barbecue facilities are available as well as plenty of shady retreats to enjoy your lunch.
Do you offer an Industry Discount?
Industry discounts are available to select Industry employees upon meeting certain criteria. Licensed AFTA or TAANZ travel agents are entitled to a 50% discount off the normal admission price. The discount is applicable to the travel agent only and can be obtained by presenting a business card with photographic ID at the theme park ticket booths.
